A 14-year-old boy is playing hide-and-seek with friends in a Texas park when he accidentally impales himself on a bull statue.
A Texas teenager has died after being impaled on the horn of a bull statue.
Marenda Podhorsky said she and her boyfriend took her four children and 14-year-old Miguel Martinez to play in a park near the National Ranching Heritage Centre in Lubbock early Saturday.
Miguel was spending the night with Ms Podhorsky's son and the children were awake well past midnight after eating sweets to celebrate her boyfriend's birthday.
Ms Podhorsky said she heard a thump, and thought Miguel might have been knocked down by the bull's horn during a game of hide-and-seek.
Instead, the boy was impaled on the horn and died from a chest wound.
Police are investigating the teen's death.
